Building Our Crew and Global Footprint
This week, our Comms Crew has been working to support our culture, our governance, and share our story far beyond our walls. Julie has been expertly navigating the complex logistics for our upcoming Induction Expedition Slice, whilst also preparing for the Board of Directors meeting and ensuring our Independent Review Panels are seamlessly supported. As a Trust, we continue to make international waves: Geoff published a global sharing update and has been working on our XP Alumni projects, while Grace processed XP Trust shop orders – including another package sent all the way to Australia!

Elevating Craftsmanship and Beautiful Work
We are constantly finding new ways to make our community’s beautiful work visible and to celebrate our students’ craftsmanship. Grace supported the incredible RUOS ‘Inside Out’ project at the airport alongside our XP Arts team, while Geoff attended the inspiring public launch of XP student artwork right in the heart of the community. Behind the scenes, Ricky and Chris have been deep in Expedition product design, creating everything from the new ‘What’s the story of our community’ book for XP Gateshead to brilliant seaside bin stickers for Carcroft and Norton Infants. Whether it is Geoff creating highlight videos of the festival, or Chris managing art moderation prints and capturing the energy of the Trust Sports Day, the team has been relentless in upholding our standard of absolute quality.
Getting Smart and transforming communities

Crucially, everything we communicate anchors back to student agency and having a tangible, positive impact. Both Chris and Ricky have been immersed in supporting XP Gateshead, beautifully capturing the profound ‘Being Human’ Celebration of Learning display at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle. They have also been attending vital workshops with staff to open discussions around expedition protocols, student agency, and Jeff’s Law. Meanwhile, Ricky continues to pull together and coordinate our milestone ‘Celebrating 10 Years of XP’ book. Once again It has been a phenomenal week of capturing how our young people are getting smart and transforming their communities.
We visited and worked out of Plover school this Friday – thank you to all the staff for your hospitality and for working alongside us!
