XP 

  • Fire curtain replacements in the drama area, both sides. (Builders)
  • Repair to XP East boiler manifold pipe which is heavily corroded. (Contractor)
  • Replacement outdoor sensor for the heating system, this will improve the control of the temperature inside the building in cooler months. (Contractor)

Plover 

  • Radiator control thermostats being installed on all radiators that do not have them, this will increase comfort levels in winter and increase the building’s efficiency, 24 in total across the school. (Contractors)
  • Repair to a leak in the plant room which couldn’t be done until the roof was made safe as part of the CIF work. (Contractor)
  • JTA & DHU are spending 2 weeks decorating the hall walls and wood work 

Green Top 

  • EYFS refresh, GBR is installing new suspended ceilings, lighting and fire detection throughout the space. Contractors are installing new vinyl flooring in the main area and toilets, Contractors are painting the walls and wood work in the 2 classrooms and main area, while the facilities team are installing Hygiene sheeting in the toilet area. A combination of the facilities team and contractors will be replacing the toilet cubicles and vanity units. This work is planned to be completed during the last week of the holidays.
  • DHU & JTA are spending 1 week removing the damaged paving from the  central Quad area and replacing it with Tarmac. 
  • Currently it is planned for the CIF bid work to start in the last week of summer, a late CIF announcement this year has made it difficult for all the pre-work safety checks and procurement to take place to allow more work through summer. 

Carcroft

  • GBR will be replacing the worn out Door access PC in the last week of the holidays as long as the other projects have run smoothly through summer and time permits.

All of the facilities teams available time has already been allocated to ensure the above work can be completed ready for the schools return.
